How To Make A Slideshow From Images/Videos With Background Music

Learn how to make a slideshow from images or videos with background music from this tuttorial. It’s easier than you thought.

Obviously, creating a slideshow from images can be done through Microsoft PowerPoint easily. However, you’ll meet some limitations that can’t be resolved without using a professional presentation maker. In today’s post, I will guide you through some simple steps to help you create your professional slideshow from either images or videos with your customized background music. The tool I am going to use is ActivePresenter 7 – one of the best presentation software in the world now.

How to make a slideshow from images and videos

Firstly, you need to download and install ActivePresenter 7 on your computer. Please take a look at its system requirements to make sure that you download its correct version.

Step 1: Create a blank project from images

From the interface, click Blank project to start. The program will drive you through the editor where you can choose Slide -> Import Images if you wish to create a presentation from your pictures.

Click + button to add your images to the slide. You can add as many images as you want. Each image will be presented as 1 slide where you can add annotations, give it a name, set duration, change background fill, scale it or whatever you want to do. In order to preview your slideshow, go to the left corner of the editor, click on the drop down menu to preview all slides.

Step 2: Add background music to your slideshow

Once you have done with your images and want to add background music to your slideshow, go to Annotation -> Audio -> From File. Then you can choose any of your favorite song to play over your slides. It’s very simple to do. Remember to choose “Play as background music” if you want the play the music even if the presentation is paused.

Step 3: Export Your Presentation

Finally, you will need to export your presentation to get it done. ActivePresenter gives you various output options such as Images – Video – HTML Slideshow, PDF or HTML5. Choose your desired format and finish it.
