Snagit 13 lets you share what can’t be put into words. Easily create custom images and videos for demos, feedback, reviews, and more. Snag any image and enhance it with effects or create a quick video of your computer screen with no time restrictions. Then share your creations instantly with anyone. No matter what you’re working on, Snagit helps you eliminate confusion and provide people with personal, meaningful content.
Snagit capturing tools
My first impression about Snagit’s interface is a busy, well organized function buttons arrangement. All capturing options are there: all-in-one, image or video. Next pre set up buttons are optional to preview in Editor, copy to Clipboard, capture Cursor or delay time. On the right side is a red button for starting the job. Getting into detail capture option, it become more familiar with other tools where you can choose Region, Full screen, Windows or scrolling page as well as webcam, microphone or record system audio.
Snagit drawing tools
Like many other modern screen capture software, Snagit provides a drawing tool suite with Arrow, Text, Callout, Shape, Fill and Stamp. Onced you captured an image from Snagit or imported an existing image for editing, you can use all the above features to make your image more instructional. I believe that it will take some time to get familar with all these tools when trying Snagit the first time. Some cool features in Snagit 13 are: customized tool bar, panoramic capture, creating GIF files and the possibility to Switch between recording screen or webcam.
Snagit Editor
Snagit editor is where you i want to spend more time on it since this option makes Snagit different from other free, low cost alternatives. TechSmith puts all the best things of Snagit here. It is a classic image editing style with Menu on top of the window and major features that said above. On the left corner, you can see Library, which it automatically creates categories for date, applications, website and type of screen capture. I found this is a nice function for someone who often works with hundred of images and videos at a certain time. I can see that Snagit’s editing tools are more and more every year which means TechSmith is optimizing it seriously.
Effects Suite in Snagit
I have looked at some effect of Snagit and recognize that it really interesting. The full list of effects includes: Border, perspective, Page Curl, Shadow, Filters, Color Adjustment, Spotlight and Magnify as well as Watermark.
Sharing options
Snagit provides many sharing options, including Ftp, Email, Word, Excel, Powerpoint, OneNote, Screencast.com…And many more. But i ussually share my project to Google drive and YouTube only.

Snagit is one of the most amazing screen capture and video recording software we’ve reviewed. It is so much different in comparison with other similar tools. With Snagit, you can create tutorial video, banners or your own image presentation easily.
Honestly, if you only capture few images or video a month, you don’t really need Snagit. But, if you are a professional who need to capture image and video every day, the you should buy it. I forgot to mention about the price for upgrading to Snagit’s new version, it is only $24.95.
