TechSmith announced on its YouTube channel about the release of the new Camtasia Studio 2018 with some crucial enhancements we can easily recognize from their short demo video. Let’s take a look at this piece of information and guess what features are included in this upgrades. Here’s the video from their blog.
Camtasia Studio 2018 Release Date
The new Camtasia Studio 2018 will be released on June 19 2018 (We’re not 100% sure about the time yet). It’s only a few days left now. It looks like TechSmith wants to give a message that they will upgrade their software once a year like. Previously, they also named their new screen capture software as Snagit 2018. And now it’s Camtasia Studio to become 2018 version instead of Camtasia Studio 10 as what we thought. By the way, it’s should be fine if we don’t have to pay for the upgrade fees.
Camtasia Studio 2018 Enhancements- What to expect?
Further to what we’ve seen in the demo video, it seems that Camtasia Studio 2018 will definitely have better rendering speed. We don’t know how much time can we save and how TechSmith can speed up video rendering speed yet. But, hopefully, it is better than Camtasia Studio 9 which requires high end pc to finish the job.
If you watch the timeline carefully, you will easily recognize the video he is trying to render is a 4 minutes video with images, audios and some small clips. The engineer chose to render in 1080p and he got the result after few seconds (aka he went out to take his coffee and go back). That’s impossible! Do you think this is just a promotional product like me? No? Look at the time on his machine (8:47 AM) and compare it with the time on the clock (12:46). By the way, we will know the truth when it comes to life. Stay tuned!
Camtasia Studio 2018 has the same interface
Compare to Camtasia Studio 9, the new Camtasia 2018 user interface seems to be the same. There are not many changes we can see now.
Camtasia Studio 2018 Estimated Price?
We don’t see any clue that TechSmith will increase the price of Camtasia again since they did it few months ago. Just a few months ago, its price has gone up to $249 from $199 per license. We hope they will not do it again….and..again!
