DVDVideoSoft free screen recorder review – I gave it a try!
Overview
DVDVideoSoft boasts to be a compact, yet full-featured screen video recorder and screenshot capture tool that allows you to easily record screen activities and capture anything on the screen including windows, objects, menus, full screen and rectangular regions. Yes, I can find all the functions they describe on an extremely simple user interface. It’s so simple that I can only guess the features when looking at the icons on the toolbar.
That does not bother me much. However, when I investigated every function of this software I was really disappointed. The only function that works well is full screen capture and full-screen video recording. Most of the other functions are malfunctioning. For example, when capturing image of a selected screen area, the area is identified at the wrong place. It is the same with region video recording. When selecting a record area, the selection is also misidentified. . This screen recorder will leave a watermark on your recording and need to Go Pro to remove the watermark.
Added to that, when I selected the the option “Open Editor window after capture”, it turns out that the software will take you to the most “super-powerful editing tools from Microsoft – Paint”. See all setting options in below pictures.
