How To Add Text To Video FREE?

How to add simple text, closed caption and subtitle to video

Step 1: Create a video project

Once you finish the installation, on the interface of the program, click New Project -> Blank Project. From here you can type the name of your video as well as choose a location to save your video.

Step 2: Import your video (slide) into the editor

On the toolbar, click Annotation-> New Slide. Once you have a new slide, you can import your video into the editor via Annotation-> Video. Then, choose the video that you want to add text from your computer.

Step 3: Add text to your video now

In ActivePresenter, there are many options to add text, closed caption or subtitle to your video. There are Shapes, Spotlight, Highlight, Text Caption and many more annotations to use. All of these annotations and call out can be used to add text, adjust the text size, text color, background and text shadow, add text transition and so on. See below picture.

Step 4: Export your video

Finally, when you finish adding text to your video, choose Export ->Video to finish the work. ActivePresenter allows you to export your video into AVI, MP4, MKV, WebM in its free version without leaving a watemark on your video. Remember that: video rendering time depends on the size of your video file and the specification of your computer.
