First off, ActivePresenter has some options to record your computer screen. Each option is optimized for a specific purpose. In this tutorial, I will guide you through the most common use of ActivePresenter: record and edit a full HD video from your computer screen. Here are the basic steps:
Step 1: Record screen
At ActivePresenter’s Start Page -> Click Record Screen to launch its recording toolbar.
On the recording toolbar, you can choose to record full screen, customized area (a specific resolution), turn on/off your webcam and your audio device.

It is also possible to change your default project preferences such as project location, video resolution, customize hot keys and so on at Start Page. When you’re ready, hit REC button on the toolbar.

To stop your recording, use the default hotkeys CTRL + End on your keyboard or find ActivePresenter at the notification on the right side of your screen.
Step 2: Edit Recorded Video
Once you stop recording, you will be redirected to ActivePresenter’s video editor.
